Contour Makeup Highlights Your Face
How to Apply Contour Makeup
Advice by Carmen.
I have shared with you before many articles about makeup. Today, I will even dig deeper. It is how you contour your face. Many of you my readers might not have tried face contouring before. Don’t worry, I’ll take you through a basic guide.
Apply the foundation as you normally do before we begin contouring. Now choose 2 shades of bronzer darker than your natural skin tone, this way you will get the most natural effect. You can use the liquid or powder bronzers. I suggest you use the liquid one to define certain areas like your nose, cheekbones or jawline. Use a sponge to blend if you’re using a liquid bronzer. And if you’re using a powder bronzer use a flat or angled brush so that it gives more depth. For a finished perfect look, of course add a layer of powder bronzer over the liquid one.
Sweep it where the sun hits your face; on your nose, across your forehead, on your cheekbones and around your jawline. Sweep light strokes.
You should not go too heavy. Apply the dark bronzer starting from your hairline, sweeping out towards your cheeks. Now apply lighter application across your cheek and back to your ears. Leave it too simple, not too much. Let your bronzer be just like sun-kissed. You have swept the bronzer on all areas I’ve told you about. It is time to blend. Sweep a little of your bronzer downward from your jawline onto your neck. You don’t want your face and neck to be two completely different colors. And if you wearing your hair up, blend a little bronzer onto the back of your neck.
Make sure you aren’t using a circular motion when applying on your cheeks, as this will leave you with dark circles on the apples of your cheeks. Instead, gently sweep the brush in a back and forth motion. Also, don’t get too close to your eyes, as it will make your eyes appear smaller.
Well, there you have it 🙂 . Let me know how it goes?
