The Heart Attack Grill is an American hamburger restaurant that is located in Las Vegas, Nevada. In fact, the restaurant was previously located in Chandler, Arizona, and it has been prone to controversy because it serves a menu that is loaded with calories. Moreover, the items on the menu are deliberately provocative, and the waitresses are always dressed with sexually provocative clothing.

About It

The whole thing consists of a hospital themed restaurant. In fact, the waitresses, who are dressed like nurses, take orders or as they call “prescriptions” from the patients who are the customers and wear the gown that patients usually wear at the hospital. Moreover, if someone does not finish their meal, they receive a paddling by one of the nurses with the option to buy the tainted paddle afterwards.

On the menu, you will find “Single”, “Double”, “Triple”, and “Quadruple” “Bypass” hamburgers. Moreover, the burgers range from 8 to 32 ounces (230 to 910 g) of beef, and have up to about 8,000 calories (33,000 kJ)). Moreover, you will also find all-you-can-eat “Flatliner Fries” that are cooked in pure lard; pig grease. Furthermore, when it comes to beverages, you can enjoy beer and tequila, and soft drinks such as Jolt and Mexican-bottled Coca-Cola that are specially made with cane sugar. In fact, if you weigh more than 350lb, you can eat for free. “Customers over 350 lb (160 kg) in weight eat for free if they weigh in with a doctor or nurse before each burger” says the owner in an interview. Beverages and to-go orders are excluded and sharing food is also not allowed for the free food deal.

This place was founded in 2005 by Jon Basso, in Chandler, Arizona, with the declared intent of serving “nutritional pornography food” that is “so bad for you it’s shocking”. In fact, he was inspired by stories of people, his clients that were about them cheating on their diets. A second Heart Attack Grill opened in Dallas, Texas in May 2011, but closed in October 2011
