I always like to keep you informed about the secrets to your health and a longer life hopefully : ) . It’s simple – eat and drink well. But what types of foods should you consume. Well, it’s those superfoods.
More garlic, lower risk of colon cancer. At least 1 serving of blueberries or 2 servings of strawberries each week . They’ll help you age gracefully as well 🙂 . I don’t need to mention how important fruits and vegetables that are rich in nutrients but low in calories. Lots of salads that contain cabbage, broccoli, tofu, edamame and tomatoes. As for the fruits, avocados lower your cholesterol, bananas and grapes too are excellent. Olive oil is not only delicious but good for your heart, brain health and cancer prevention. Add few spoons to your salad if you prefer. Superfoods rich in fibres like beans, grains, seeds and nuts are highly beneficiary. Fibre can protect you against diabetes, heart disease, some cancers, obesity, and can reduce cholesterol, blood sugar, and blood pressure. I suggest you add some rye bread and oatmeals to your superfoods diet.
Going vegetarian a few times a week may lengthen your life, so less red meat. I don’t advise you at all to eat red meat daily like burgers, pork or steak, hotdogs, bacon or ham. But more white meat is good. And when it comes to fish, salmon, tuna and other kinds of fish are high in omega- 3. Of course, I would prefer if you bake or boil the fish instead of frying them, even if dried or salted. I did advise you on red meat but when it comes to red fruits and vegetables is a definite yes. Those bold, bright colors are a good way to make sure you’re getting a good mix of nutrients like beat roots and red cabbages, etc…
Moderate amounts of alcohol, as I mentioned to you before, 2 drinks for men and 1 for women a day. A spot of whiskey, a glass of wine, everything in moderation.
As for coffee, having 2 to 3 cups a day is considered okay, 4 to 5 cups a day is even better, and ideally to have six or more 🙂 . As long as you stick to those superfoods, with coffee, you can live longer 🙂 . Eating dark chocolate up to 3 times a month is very healthy for you.
All but the last bite 🙂 . Yes. Leave a little on your plate after every meal, stop eating when you feel only 80%. Two meals a day is really all what you need. Eat a big breakfast and lunch every day, skip supper and drink plenty of water.
I always always highly encourage you to cook at home. Doing so of course you have a greater chance to stay healthy. Sit down at the table with the whole family 🙂 .
