Pamper Your Winter Skin
How to Look After Your Winter Skin
I love winter, snowflakes and snow… It’s all fresh, shiny and clear…. But some areas have cracks in them. It’s the same with your winter skin.
The reason your winter skin is getting dry it’s because the temperature becomes low during this cold season. So your inside body temperature goes through a process called the evaporation which then leads to dry skin. T
hat’s why I ask you to drink plenty of water. In parallel, of course you need to get your skin treated. I have shared with you some homemade skin recipes that you could easily do yourself at home.
You might be asking what is it that you need to do to treat your skin. Always make sure to stay away from sitting around fire and heaters or being too close to the gas while cooking and of course the sun’s UV rays. This is a major reason for dry winter skin. Heat makes your skin lose its moisture. Keep your skin moisturised, make sure to apply SPF’s. Keeping a bowl of water in areas around your house to maintain the humidity in the air is a must too.
Now some of you with very sensitive texture tend to have their winter skin peel off. Try the petroleum jelly or simply some oil. Make sure to apply them regularly.
I have seen women bleaching their winter skin to look ever fairer in winter. With those chemicals, well… this is the quickest and most disastrous way to ruin it. Try to avoid this completely.
For your lips, licking them when they are dry is tempting, I know. Try to stop this habit or else it will lead to more cracks and eventually infections. Instead apply petroleum jelly on hourly basis. Yes, lipstick and lip balm can help too.
God it’s cold outside, but your perfectly winter skin is ready for it 🙂 .
